The Village Idiot

The Village Idiot, ink and watercolour, 3 x 4 inches, ©2016
The Village Idiot is a record store located in Wortley Village. They have all kinds of music from the 1920s forward, stereo equipment, furniture to house it and posters. With a slogan like “cool stuff for cool people” and that beautiful red paint, why not visit in person at 135 Wortley Rd (I couldn't find a website for them).

This illustration is available at The Art Exchange.

A Village Tail

"The Art of Old South" from November 26 - December 24, 2013 will feature the art of Susan Garrington, Len Hughes, Amelia Husnik and myself at The Art Exchange in Wortley Village. The nasty weather of this past Sunday -- there was rain, snow, sleet and sunshine. The "snow" on May 13th me post this small painting of A Village Tail at 160 Wortley Rd in Old South.

Miniature show at Art Exchange

SS20 Richmond Tavern, London

I have been working on some miniatures for the 7th Annual Juried Miniature Show at the Art Exchange. An opening reception will be held on Friday, February 3, at 7:30pm.  I have finished a couple small streetscapes, this one will not be entered. Its very challenging to draw buildings this small, 3" x 4", figurative work is much easier (and much  more fun) to create in this size.
