SS40, Albert and Victoria Street, Clinton

I was born and raised near Londesboro, and attended high school in Clinton, ON. The corner of Albert and Victoria Street (main corner in Clinton) there is a wealth of late nineteen century architecture. In 1857, Clinton became first incorporated village in Huron County, then in 1876 incorporated as a town, and reached the peak of its development in 1890’s.

First Nine Holes

First nine holes of season and its March 25 ... seventeen degrees and sunny! Fast sketch started on Hole no. 3 at Greenhills Golf Course, worked on it again while waiting on no 5. Bare trees, but very green grass for so early. My golf game.... right from first swing, my driver works! the rest of my game always could use some improvement.

Figure Drawing Sketches

Finallly got back to figure drawing at the ARTS Projuect on monday night. I prefer drawing the female form, but he was a great model.

Spring weather

Missing golf... had to sketch a golf course tonight. This is hole number 13 at Greenhills from photo taken couple of years ago. This week is going to be warm enough to golf, but really, the conditions are not good enough to golf. As much as I want to get out there, walking on course too soon will do damage.

SS06 Cortona Italy

This is one of the drawings completed on location in Italy last September, that will be in show at Shutter and Brush, 194 Main St. Port Stanley, staring this week. There is an Open House on Saturday March 10 from 1-4pm. I have 4 drawings from Cortona and 4 drawings from Italy in the show, all graphite and ink.

As many of you know, we went, together with a group of very fine artists, on a Novack’s trip to Italy with our wonderful guides Kevin and Daphne Bice. It was an outstanding trip on all levels. A wonderful camaraderie seemed to exist from the first moment, and together we wined and dined, explored and discovered, and of course, took photos, sketched and painted. Please accept our personal invitation to come and see some of the art and photography which came from many of the artists in our company. East London

SS32 Dundas Street, London

Now working in east London, I am walking to work a couple of days a week. I enjoy walking in a different part of the city. I usually walk downtown, so most of my drawings have been downtown. This streetscape... Dundas Street just east of Adelaide Street, measures 3.5" x 4.5", still working quite small.
